The first idea would be to use solar thermal injection into a geothermal system. This would increase the incoming water temperature into the heat pump, which greatly increases efficiency. Modern Home Heating Inc. has come up with a few different ways to do this and a few systems we have designed with these ideas will be coming online soon, and the results of this idea will be published online.
